Meanwhile, the Brazilian Ministry of Education, seems to be progressive, as it (news item dated Oct 30, 2006) is placing 100,000 linux computers in its schools, complete with video editing software, which of course, students, teachers, parents, etc. may copy and use at home, at work, at university/college, etc.
